Cookie policy

As stated in our privacy policy, we use cookies on our website.

In this cookie policy, we inform you about the cookies used and the personal data processed through them. Of course, our privacy policy also applies to the data processed by means of cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive by the browser you are using and which allow the person setting the cookies to read certain information. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses to your computer and therefore cannot cause any damage. They are used, among other things, to make our website more user-friendly and effective.

Cookies can contain data that enable recognition of the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information on certain settings that cannot be related to a specific person. Cookies cannot directly identify a user.

A distinction is regularly made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.

With regard to their function, we distinguish between the following groups:

- Functional cookies: Functional cookies are absolutely necessary for the functionality of the webshop. These cookies assign a unique random ID to your browser to ensure your unhindered shopping experience across multiple page views.

- Marketing cookies: Marketing cookies are used to target advertisements on the website individually across multiple page views and browser sessions.

- Tracking cookies: Tracking cookies help the shop operator to collect and evaluate information about the behaviour of users on their website.

The legal basis for the processing of data collected by means of cookies depends on the type of cookies and your behaviour. If you have consented to the use of cookies, we process the data collected by means of the cookies on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO). If you have refused the use of cookies, we only use data of so-called functional cookies, i.e. cookies that are necessary for the initiation and processing of a contract with you (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DS-GVO) or with regard to whose use we have a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO).

You can revoke your consent at any time or prevent the storage of cookies by other means. The following options are available to you for this purpose:

- You can revoke or re-edit your consent via our Consent Manager.

- You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly;

- Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of our websites (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

However, we would like to point out that if you do not give or revoke your consent, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

2. Google Analytics

We create pseudonymous usage profiles with the help of Google Analytics in order to tailor our website to your needs. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"):

Google Ireland Limited (registration number: 368047).

Gordon House, Barrow Street,

Dublin 4,

Ireland.

Google Analytics uses targeting cookies that are stored on your terminal device and can be read by us. In this way, we are able to recognise and count returning visitors as such and to learn how often and in what way our website is accessed by different users. The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO (consent).

The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and possibly other third countries and stored there. Since we have activated IP anonymisation on our website, your IP address will, however, be shortened by Google beforehand within the European Union.

The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 DS-GVO, which we have concluded with Google. You can find out more about the transfer of data to third countries under point 6 of the data protection declaration.

3. Google Ads

We use Google Ads. Google Ads is an internet advertising service that allows advertisers to display ads in both Google's search engine results and the Google advertising network. Google Ads allows an advertiser to pre-define certain keywords by which an ad will be displayed in Google's search engine results only when the user retrieves a keyword-relevant search result with the search engine. In the Google advertising network, the ads are distributed on topic-relevant websites by means of an automatic algorithm and taking into account the previously defined keywords.

The operator of the Google Ads services is Google Ireland Limited (registration number: 368047), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The purpose of Google Ads is to advertise our website by displaying interest-relevant advertising on the websites of third-party companies and in the search engine results of the Google search engine and to display third-party advertising on our website.

If you access our website via a Google advertisement, a so-called conversion cookie will be stored on your end device by Google. This loses its validity after thirty days and is not used to identify you personally. If the cookie has not yet expired, the conversion cookie is used to track whether certain sub-pages, e.g. the shopping cart, have been called up on our website. The conversion cookie enables both us and Google to track whether you, who have accessed our website via a Google Ads ad, have completed or cancelled a purchase.

The data and information collected in this way are used by Google to compile visit statistics for our website. We use this data to determine the success or failure of the respective Google Ads ads and to optimise our Google Ads ads for the future.

The following data is collected by means of the conversion cookie:

- the cookie ID

- your IP address

We use the remarketing function within the Google Ads service. This function enables us to present users of our website with advertisements based on their interests on other websites within the Google advertising network (e.g. in Google Search or on YouTube, so-called "Google Ads" or on other websites). For this purpose, the interaction of users on our website is analysed, e.g. which offers the user was interested in, in order to be able to display targeted advertising to users on other sites even after they have visited our website. For this purpose, Google stores cookies on the end devices of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google display network. These cookies are used to record the visits of these users. The cookies are used to uniquely identify a web browser on a particular device.

Part of the processing takes place in the USA. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 DS-GVO, which we have concluded with Google. Before the transfer, your data was anonymised. You can find out more about data transfer to third countries under point 6 of the data protection declaration.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy.
